The National Flight Nurse
Academy at Case Western Reserve University held its third annual "summer camp"
at the University's Squire Valleevue Farm from August 15th through the 19th.
Nurses from as far as Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, Florida, Texas, New York,
District of Columbia and Taiwan, as well as advanced practice nurses,
physicians, pilots, firefighters and paramedics participated in this training
expercise designed to prepare teams to provide critical care services in
unstructured environments such as those that follow natural and technologic
disasters. Collaborating with Case and the MetroHealth System to put
on this year's Summer Camp were the Auburn Volunteer Fire Department and the
National Aeronautics and Space Administration. |
