The National Flight Nurse
Academy at Case Western Reserve University held its third annual "summer camp"
at the University's Squire Valleevue Farm from August 14th through the 18th.
Nurses from as far as Pennyslvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, California, Florida,
Texas, Connecticut, New York, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Taiwan, as
well as advanced practice nurses, physicians, pilots, firefighters and
paramedics participated in this training expercise designed to prepare teams to
provide critical care services in unstructured environments such as those that
follow natural and technologic disasters. Collaborating with Case and
the MetroHealth System to put on this year's Summer Camp were the Auburn and
Munson Fire Departments and the U. S. Coast Guard Auxillary. |
